At the moment we have a vacancy for the position of Lift Supervisor.The Lift Supervisor has overall responsibility for the safe and efficient performance of all rigging and lifting operations, including ensuring compliance with LOLER and Client requirementsJob descriptionAll employees should make themselves aware of and understand their responsibilities as detailed within the integrated management system.  They should also strive to become fully familiar with the vessel’s structure and layout; safety arrangements and requirements; and instructions and facilities. Ensure that all safety and environmental protection requirements are met during all operations, in accordance with international, national and local legislation, Company requirements, and industry guidance and best-practice. Assist as required with the periodic review and update of task risk assessments as applicable to deck operations. Supervise and continually develop the competence of personnel under their supervision. Ensure the accurate completion by personnel under their supervision of checklists, planned maintenance records; and other company required documents. Discuss and advise the Master and the Chief Officer regarding lifting activities. Liaise with bridge and Client, as appropriate. Ensure lifting and rigging equipment is monitored and secured at all times Ensure all lifting operations are supervised, making sure that all lifting operations are carried out safely and in compliance with legislative (including LOLER, PUWER etc) and Clients’ requirementsTo report any breakdowns, damage or failures to the Chief Officer/Master. Must be thoroughly familiar with all lifting equipment on board Ensure that all riggers, crane operators and any other persons involved in the lifting operation Job requirementsConsiderable experience (at least one year’s sea time) of overside lifting operations in a marine environment Proficient in use of MS Office softwareValid ENG1 (medical fitness certificate) or accepted equivalent Personal Survival Techniques (STCW Code – Table A-VI/1-1)Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (STCW Code – Table A-VI/1-2)Elementary First Aid (STCW Code – Table A-VI/1-3)Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities (STCW Code – Table A-VI/1-4)Security Awareness (STCW Code – Table A-VI/6) More infoShould you be interested in the position of Lift Supervisor, please send your application via the apply button.
