And do you have the necessary experience?Job descriptionEnsuring that qualified, experienced and competent personnel are employed onboard Customers offshore assets.Ensure that offshore employees documentation and certification compliance is maintained at all times.Have understanding and maintain up to date all processes with respect to budgeting, recruitment, employment contracts, personnel management, disciplinary action, training matrix compliance, bi weekly meetings and monthly reports as directed.Meet business goals and objectives and ensure full compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.The responsibilities of the Personnel Officer include but are not limited to the following:Have basic understanding of Offshore Employment structures and applicable Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA’s).Have good understanding of Marine Industry regulatory and certification legislation including but not limited to ISM Code, STCW and MLC 2006.Have knowledge of ISO Standards and ensure ISO compliance is maintained.Administer Offshore SEA contracts and Documents, ensuring that the signed contracts are tracked and filed.Ensuring seafarer’s certificates and training records are updated, liaising with personnel officers and manning agents in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Indian and the Philippines office for personnel employed on vessels under their responsibility.To assist and attend to queries in terms of Crew Management services.Attend to all offshore personnel related matters as directed.Attend and provide input to meetings and management reporting. Implementation of initiatives, systems and policies to meet business goals and objectives. Provide input to client specific budget and manning reports. Assist in analysing trends as required. Conduct background checks on potential candidates. Review internal processes for further efficiency and improvements.Track fleet appraisal system for offshore employees. To maintain confidentiality and observe Data Protection guidelinesWork with Payroll Team to administer Recovery Letters as directed.Back-up for Input of FSS and project personnel timesheets.Understudy the Marine HR manager and HR Executive and provide back up as required.May be required to be a part of the out of hours on call rota.Other tasks and project related work as directed.Job requirementsEDUCATION QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCEA Diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent.Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in Human Resource field/ Shipping Logistics industries.Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Power Point.Ability to maintain accurate and up to date database.Experienced in working in a Multinational environment SKILLS AND ATTITUDEPlanning and organizational skills.Attention to detail.Self-starter with ability to work independently.Good interpersonal, oral and written communications skills.Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.Possess good problem solving, decision making and negotiation skills.Willingness to develop and learn new skills.Team Player.Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills.Possess good time management skills.Positive and proactive attitude.Ability to be discreet, uphold confidentiality and professionalism always.Customer Service Oriented Individual.More infoShould you be interested in the position of Personnel officer, please send your application via the apply button.
